Area of origin : Mwandoni Etymology:The word came about after May 25th 1990 when Nairobi City Council enforcement department demolished slums in Muoroto village around the Machakos bus terminus. What followed was a week-long battle between Jua Kali artisans, hakwers, villagers and the then Nairobi City Council officers. |
